Steve Spremo formed River North Pictures, and the company’s first feature project, "Ground Down," a sci-fi drama, is in pre-production and will shoot in June 2026. The company’s first project was the short film "Ice Cream. Sladoled," which he wrote, directed, and produced. "Ice Cream. Sladoled" premiered at Palm Springs International ShortFest, an Academy Award Qualifying Festival, and screened at 32 film festivals worldwide. Steve’s background is in filmmaking, creative writing and working behind the scenes on the financial side of the industry.

Steve’s past writing projects include a combination of collaborative and solo written short and feature length screenplays that have placed in numerous screenwriting competitions and festivals, including (in alphabetical order): The Austin Film Festival, The BlueCat Screenplay Competition, Cinequest Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival, The Page International Screenwriting Awards, & The Woods Hole Film Festival.

His co-written full-length novel, "North Point", received the “Our Verdict: Get It!” recommendation by Kirkus Reviews.
